Hook spacers push the hook further back in the lure and convert the lure to a stiffer rig. This sort of rigging is good if you don't plan to run ballyhoo in the lure or if you want a stiff rigged lure. 

Made of super durable semi-flexible material.

Great for up to 6" lures and can be cut to shorter lengths.
